It’s time to get dressed up and enjoy a great night with your friends. From Pornstar martinis to an Old Fashioned, Worcester’s cocktail scene is pretty impressive, and you’ll definitely find your drink here.

If you’re after a sophisticated night with a cocktail or two, we’ve put together a few suggestions for where you should head.

Keystones Cocktail Club

1 Copenhagen St, Worcester WR1 2HB

  • 29min walk from St John’s Campus
  • 6min walk from Forgate Street Station

Opening times: 20:00 – 1:00 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday

  • 17:00 – 1:00 Friday & Saturday

Arguably one of the best cocktail spots in the city, Keystones has a range of delicious cocktails for you to enjoy. It calls itself a bartender’s paradise, and you can really see why. If you’re that blown away by the scrumptious drinks, you can actually attend a cocktail masterclass and impress your guests at any house parties you’ll host going forwards. Its décor is equally impressive, and there’s also no need for selfies, because there’s a photo booth for you to take advantage of.

Bolero

34 Foregate St, Worcester WR1 1EE

  • 27min walk from St John’s Campus
  • 2min walk from Foregate Street Station

Opening times: 12:00 – 00:00 Tuesday to Thursday

  • 12:00 – 1:00 Friday & Saturday
  • 12:00 – 17:00 Sunday

For the sophisticates, Bolero is a stunning bar that gives off a relaxed, yet premium, vibe. Its stunning décor and large bar elevate the experience and make a great backdrop for your photos. Bolero offers your reds, your whites, tequilas and plenty of vodka, but their cocktail menu is pretty impressive, and we recommend their signature Bolero Hendrick’s.

Tonic

36 Foregate St, Worcester WR1 1EE

  • 27min walk from St John’s Campus
  • 2min walk from Foregate Street Station

Opening times: 16:00 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday

  • 15:00 – 1:00 Friday
  • 13:00 – 1:00 Saturday
  • 14:00 – 22:00 Sunday

Located very close to Bolero, Tonic also features a cracking range of cocktails to fuel your night out. You can enjoy cocktails, mocktails and plenty of spirits, plus there’s 10 taps with the finest craft beer around. The low lighting and occasional live music events create a chill ambience, plus there’s even board games to keep the conversation flowing if you’re still in the awkward phase with the new flat mates.

Slug and lettuce

Slug & Lettuce Worcester, The Cross, Worcester WR1 3PY

  • 28min walk from St John’s Campus
  • 2min walk from Forgeate Street Station

Opening times: 10:00 – 23:00 Sunday to Wednesday

  • 10:00 – 00:00 Thursday
  • 10:00 – 2:00 Friday & Saturday

Finish the night in Slug and Lettuce, where the music is pumping and the Pornstar Martinis are flowing. The stunning architecture of what was once an old church paired with an impressive cocktail menu makes this sinful night even flashier. They occasionally have a DJ preaching the music of the night and a photographer to capture the moments you really don’t want capturing.

We mean it when we say there’s no night out like a Worcester night out, especially if you find yourself with a Big Mac at half 2 in the morning… Enjoy it, but please drink responsibly(ish) and make sure to get each other home safe!
